Special Guests — Frequently Asked Questions

Are autographs and photo ops included with my ticket?
Autographs and photo opportunities are not included with general admission or VIP tickets. Each guest sets their own pricing for signings and photo ops independently. However, some guests do not charge for autographs or pictures. GGE does not set or control individual guest pricing.

How much do autographs and photo ops cost?
Pricing varies by guest. When pricing is provided to us in advance by a guest or their representative we will post it on our website and social media channels so you can plan ahead. Some guests may set their pricing on site at the show.

Can I pre-purchase autographs or photo ops online?
At this time we are not offering pre-sales for autographs or photo opportunities. All purchases are made on site at the guest’s table the day of the show.

What can I bring to get signed?
Generally you are welcome to bring your own items to have signed as long as they are appropriate for a public convention setting. Most guests also bring their own exclusive merchandise available for purchase at their table, which may or may not be included with an autograph purchase.

How do the lines work?
Each guest will have a standard line and a VIP line. The VIP line operates similarly to a fast pass at an amusement park — VIP badge holders merge toward the front of the queue using an alternating method, meaning a few VIP attendees go through followed by a few general admission attendees, and so on. Both lines will keep moving throughout the day. However, VIP ensures you will get to the front of the line much quicker. We do our best to keep things running smoothly and most of our handlers are volunteers so please be kind and patient with them.

Do guests take breaks?
Yes. Guests take breaks throughout the day and some guests may only be available on certain days or during specific time windows. We will note any guest-specific schedules on our website and social media channels. Please check those before arriving so you can plan your day accordingly.

What if a guest cancels or their schedule changes?
In the event a guest is unable to attend or their schedule changes we will make a public announcement as soon as possible across our website and social media channels.

Can I take a photo or video of a guest while waiting in line?
Please do not assume you can take candid photos or videos of a celebrity while you wait in line. When you reach the front of the line ask the handler if a photo or video is permitted before taking one.

Can I take photos and videos from the convention floor of the guests?
Taking photos or videos of celebrity guests from the convention floor aisles is strictly prohibited. Celebrities are contracted to sell their time, autographs, and structured interactions. Taking free “paparazzi” style photos from afar devalues paid ticket experiences and makes the guests feel on display. It’s awkward, don’t do it.

Who are the handlers at the guest tables?
Each guest typically has a dedicated handler at their table. The handler can answer questions about the guest, process payments, and help manage the flow of the line. Most handlers are volunteers so please treat them with the same courtesy you would the guests themselves.

How should I interact with guests at their table?
Table visits are a chance to say hello and make a genuine connection. Keep your interaction brief, warm, and focused on the guest’s work. Avoid being demanding or monopolizing their time — there are other fans waiting behind you!

Can I approach a guest if I see them on the convention floor?
If you see a guest walking the floor, eating, or in transit please give them their space. Unless a guest initiates an interaction, do not approach them for photos, autographs, or unsolicited conversations when they are off the clock. Everyone deserves a moment to breathe.

What about physical boundaries with guests?
Please be mindful of personal space at all times. Never touch a guest without permission. Avoid requests that involve lifting, kissing, or any physical contact beyond a handshake or standard pose unless the guest initiates it. The floor area in front of guest tables is typically marked — please stay within the designated space while waiting.

Any general tips for a great guest experience?
Be patient, be kind, and be genuine. These guests are here because they love meeting fans just like you. A simple thank you goes a long way. The more positive and respectful the energy on the floor the better the experience is for everyone.
