1. Ticket Purchase & Entry

Tickets are non-refundable except as expressly stated in our refund policy at gameandgeekexpo.com/refund-policy. Tickets are valid for the dates and times specified at the time of purchase. All attendees must present a valid ticket for entry. Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced. The Event organizers reserve the right to refuse entry to any individual.

2. Code of Conduct

All attendees must adhere to the Game & Geek Expo Code of Conduct available at gameandgeekexpo.com/code-of-conduct. Attendees are expected to treat all other attendees, vendors, staff, and volunteers with respect and courtesy at all times. Harassment, discrimination, or any form of abusive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate ejection from the event without refund.

3. Health & Safety

Attendees are responsible for their own health and safety. All attendees must comply with health and safety guidelines provided by GGE and the Raleigh Convention Center, follow all instructions from event staff and security personnel, and adhere to all posted signage within the convention center. Attendance at GGE is at the attendee’s own risk.

4. Photography, Video & Recording

Game & Geek Expo is a public event. By attending you acknowledge that photography, video, and audio recording may take place throughout the event. GGE and its authorized photographers and videographers may capture images and footage of attendees, vendors, guests, and programming for use in promotional materials, social media, website content, and future event marketing. Attendance at GGE constitutes consent to be photographed or recorded in this capacity.

General Photography and Video

Photography and casual video recording are welcome throughout the convention floor. Please be respectful when photographing other attendees, vendors, and guests. If someone asks you not to photograph or film them please honor that request immediately. Do not block walkways or impede the flow of traffic while taking photos or videos.

Celebrity Guests

Please do not photograph or film celebrity guests without their knowledge or while they are in transit, eating, or otherwise off the clock. When at a guest’s booth please ask the guest or their handler before taking photos or video. Most guests are happy to accommodate photos during their scheduled appearance hours.

Cosplayers

Cosplay is not consent. Always ask a cosplayer before photographing or filming them. If they decline please respect their decision without question or comment.

Commercial and Media Use

Any photography or video intended for commercial use, publication, broadcast, or monetized content requires prior written approval from GGE. Credentialed media must follow the GGE media guidelines distributed with their press badge.

Prohibited Recording

Recording in private or restricted areas including green rooms, crew lounges, backstage areas, and staff-only spaces is strictly prohibited. Covert recording of any kind including the use of hidden cameras or AI-enabled recording devices without the knowledge of those being recorded is not permitted at GGE. Drone or aerial photography and video is not permitted inside the Raleigh Convention Center.

5. Cosplay & Props

Cosplay is encouraged at GGE and we love seeing the creativity our community brings to the floor. All costumes must be appropriate for a family-friendly environment. Props must be safe and non-functional. Real weapons or items that could be mistaken for real weapons are not permitted. Prop weapons must be peace-bonded or inspected by security upon entry. Please be mindful of the size and maneuverability of your costume and props especially in crowded areas.

6. Food & Beverage

Food and beverage will be available for purchase at designated areas within the convention center. Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside the event. Please dispose of all trash properly in designated receptacles throughout the venue.

7. Prohibited Items

Weapons of any kind, illegal substances, and other dangerous items are strictly prohibited at GGE. Any items deemed unsafe or disruptive by event staff or security personnel may be confiscated. GGE and the Raleigh Convention Center reserve the right to inspect bags and belongings upon entry.

8. Liability & Release

Attendees release Game & Geek Expo, Raleigh Retro Gamers LLC, its staff, volunteers, partners, and the Raleigh Convention Center from any liability for personal injury, loss, or damage incurred during the event including during load-in, load-out, and any associated off-site programming. Attendees are solely responsible for their personal belongings throughout the event.

9. Event Changes & Cancellations

GGE reserves the right to change the schedule, guests, programming, or activities without prior notice. Guest appearances are subject to change and GGE cannot guarantee the availability of any specific guest. In the event of a full cancellation of GGE, refunds will be issued according to the Event refund policy available at gameandgeekexpo.com/refund-policy. Tickets are otherwise non-refundable.

10. Artificial Intelligence & Emerging Technology

GGE is committed to maintaining a respectful environment for all attendees. The use of AI-enabled glasses, smart glasses, or any covert recording device to film or photograph attendees, guests, vendors, or staff without their knowledge or consent is prohibited. You may use wearable recording technology at GGE but you must inform those you are recording and obtain their consent. Fixed cameras that are clearly visible or filming yourself at your own booth are permitted. This policy applies to devices including but not limited to Meta Ray-Bans and similar wearable recording technology.

11. Amendments & Contact
