GGE Code of Conduct
Game and Geek Expo is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for all attendees, including fans, artists, vendors, guests, staff, and volunteers. We expect all participants to contribute to a positive and respectful environment.
1. Respect and Inclusivity:
- Treat everyone with respect and courtesy, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, religion, or any other personal attribute.
- Harassment, discrimination, or any form of offensive behavior will not be tolerated. This includes but is not limited to verbal, physical, and online harassment.
- Respect personal boundaries and consent. Do not touch others without their permission.
- Be mindful of your language and actions, and avoid making assumptions about others.
2. Safe Environment:
- Follow all instructions from Game and Geek Expo staff and security personnel.
- Do not engage in any behavior that could endanger yourself or others.
- Report any safety concerns or suspicious activity to event staff or security immediately.
- Respect the venue and its property. Do not damage or vandalize any property.
- Be aware of your surroundings and take precautions to protect your personal belongings.
3. Cosplay and Props:
- Cosplay is encouraged, but all costumes must be appropriate for a family-friendly environment.
- Props must be safe and non-functional. No real weapons or items that could be mistaken for weapons are allowed.
- Prop weapons must be peace-bonded or inspected by security.
- Be mindful of the size and maneuverability of your costume and props, especially in crowded areas.
4. Vendor Interactions:
- Treat vendors with respect and courtesy.
- Do not engage in aggressive sales tactics or harassment.
- Follow vendor rules and guidelines regarding photography and recording.
5. Photography and Recording:
- Photography and recording are generally permitted in public areas, but be respectful of others.
- Obtain permission before photographing or recording individuals, especially cosplayers.
- Commercial photography or recording may require prior authorization from event organizers.
- Do not block walkways or impede the flow of traffic while taking photos or videos.
6. Alcohol and Substance Use:
- Follow all venue and local laws regarding alcohol consumption.
- Illegal substances are strictly prohibited.
- Intoxicated behavior that disrupts the event or endangers others will not be tolerated.
7. Social Media and Online Conduct:
- Be respectful in your online interactions related to the Game and Geek Expo.
- Do not engage in cyberbullying, harassment, or the spread of misinformation.
- Respect the privacy of others when posting about the event.
8. Enforcement:
- Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in warnings, ejection from the event, or other appropriate action.
- Game and Geek Expo reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any individual who violates this Code of Conduct.
- Decisions made by event staff and security personnel are final.

10. Amendments:
